We are excited to announce the third edition of the GAPS Meeting, taking place on June 12–13, 2026, in Ghent, Belgium.

The Ghent Academy of Plastic Surgery (GAPS) is more than an institution—it’s a global family. Over the years, we’ve proudly trained many plastic surgeons and welcomed international fellows. Each has carved out their own unique path, yet all remain connected through GAPS.

In 2026, we come together once more—not only to share knowledge and inspire each other—but to pay special tribute to Professor Hubert Vermeersch, a true pioneer in head and neck and plastic surgery. Professor Vermeersch is celebrated for his surgical excellence, humility, and generosity in mentoring generations of surgeons. His legacy continues to shape the standard of care in Ghent and beyond.
